Job description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management:
    1. Receive, inspect, and record incoming medical equipment and supplies.
    2. Maintain accurate inventory records and update the stock database regularly.
    3. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  2. Storage and Organization:
    1. Organize and store medical equipment and supplies in a systematic manner.
    2. Ensure all items are properly labeled, categorized, and stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
    3. Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage, contamination, or deterioration of medical equipment.
  3. Stock Monitoring and Control:
    1. Track stock levels and replenish inventory as needed to avoid shortages.
    2. Coordinate with the procurement team to place orders for restocking.
    3. Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and report to management.
  4. Distribution and Logistics:
    1. Prepare and dispatch orders for delivery to clients or internal departments.
    2. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical equipment.
    3. Coordinate with transportation teams or couriers to arrange shipments.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain accurate records of goods received, dispatched, and returned.
    2. Prepare stock reports, discrepancy reports, and other documentation as required.
    3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards for medical equipment handling.
  6. Warehouse Maintenance:
    1. Keep the storage area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
    2. Monitor and report any maintenance needs for the warehouse.
    3. Ensure proper handling and disposal of damaged or expired items.

Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent (required).
    2. Previous experience as a storekeeper or in inventory management, preferably in the medical or healthcare sector.
  2. Skills:
    1. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    2. Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel).
    3. Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  3. Knowledge:
    1. Familiarity with medical equipment and supplies is an advantage.
    2. Understanding of proper storage and handling requirements for medical products.
  4. Other Requirements:
    1. Physically fit to handle lifting and moving of inventory when necessary.
    2. Good communication and teamwork skills.
