Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming medical equipment and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update the stock database regularly.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Storage and Organization:
- Organize and store medical equipment and supplies in a systematic manner.
- Ensure all items are properly labeled, categorized, and stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor storage conditions to prevent damage, contamination, or deterioration of medical equipment.
- Stock Monitoring and Control:
- Track stock levels and replenish inventory as needed to avoid shortages.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to place orders for restocking.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and report to management.
- Distribution and Logistics:
- Prepare and dispatch orders for delivery to clients or internal departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical equipment.
- Coordinate with transportation teams or couriers to arrange shipments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of goods received, dispatched, and returned.
- Prepare stock reports, discrepancy reports, and other documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards for medical equipment handling.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the storage area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs for the warehouse.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of damaged or expired items.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience as a storekeeper or in inventory management, preferably in the medical or healthcare sector.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel).
- Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with medical equipment and supplies is an advantage.
- Understanding of proper storage and handling requirements for medical products.
- Other Requirements:
- Physically fit to handle lifting and moving of inventory when necessary.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
