Software Developer (Java)

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Java-based applications and analyze user requirements to inform application design.
• Define application objectives and functionality and align application design with business goals.
• Develop and test software and understand and analyze customer’s requirements.
• Understand the design, structure and architecture.
• Involved in continuous technical and functional improvement to ensure competitiveness and ensure proper testing cycles and consistent stable releases are met.
• Able to actively communicate with project-related colleagues on demand issues and technical issues effectively.
• Provide first-line technical support to internal teams and external clients, troubleshooting issues and escalating when necessary.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis for critical incidents and propose long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with the development team to roll out bug fixes, patches, and system improvements.
• Participate in on-call support rotations, including weekend support, to handle critical issues in production environments.
• Any other duties assigned by the manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Candidates with 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of Java programming (project experience or coursework for fresh graduates).
• Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap and other web development technologies; familiar with JSON, XML, and other data protocols; familiar with relevant caching technologies.
• Familiarity with React.js is a must for developing user interfaces, including experience with component-based architecture and state management.
• Ability to debug code and analyze logs to identify and fix issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
• Required to work on weekends and be on standby for weekend support as needed on a rotational basis.
• Able to start immediately.
