What you will do
The Quality Analyst is to support laboratory operation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Environment, Health & Safety requirements according to Company Quality Policy Standards and applicable Regulatory Requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall micro related testing such as performing end-to-end microbial limit testing for finished product, bulk, and raw material; from sorting, labeling, testing, incubation, results reporting, and executing micro releases within the batch record on time.
- Carry out plant hygiene related monitoring such as water sampling and testing, environmental air monitoring, compressed air monitoring, and post-CNS monitoring, including its associated trending.
- Able to coordinate with productions for post-monitoring slot and arrange resources accordingly.
- Ensure sufficient supply of qualified microbiological media, disinfectant, and sterile apparatus for micro testing.
- Prepare solid and liquid media that are used for micro routine tests and ensure approval prior to use.
- Qualify media and test solutions i.e., pH check, sterility, and growth promotion test.
- Sterilize apparatus/tools for micro testing use.
- Prepare inoculum suspension for micro testing and ensure proper reference stock culture maintenance program.
- Perform bacteria identification using API kit.
- Revise SOP/FRM and upload it into the system.
- Perform clearance of biohazardous laboratory waste through decontamination cycles in autoclave.
- Ensure on-time finished goods releases upon availability of microbial results.
- Support trending updates of finished goods/raw materials and plant hygiene testing for monthly metrics reporting.
- Responsible for updating monthly lab matrix on time.
- Conduct inventory checks for chemicals and consumables to always ensure sufficient supply for micro testing.
- Ensure good maintenance of equipment in day-to-day operations.
- Support equipment calibration/temperature mapping/qualification activities.
- Support and proactively lead the Lab Quality Management System (QMS) such as: Laboratory investigations and non-conformance handling; Root cause analysis; Records management and reconciliation; Equipment calibration and preventive maintenance program; Change management process; Sample management and traceability; Support laboratory safety program and ensure sustainability within the QC team; Support laboratory continuous improvement projects to optimize laboratory processes and increase laboratory efficiency; Proactively pursue self-learning to complete the competency requirement as per the training matrix.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor Degree in a Science related field (Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalent).
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of GLP experience in a quality control role in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC Drugs, Cosmetic and/or Food and Dietary Supplements Production with strong technical skills and knowledge in Microbiological Testing.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Proficient in technical writing and root cause problem solving.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Positive and agile mindset; Self-motivated.
- Self-sustaining/Independent and resourceful.
- Good planning and task management.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
