Maintenance Technician

Purpose of this job

1. To ensure the smooth operation of production by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
2. Involves executing preventive and predictive maintenance, supporting new installations and expansions, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring workplace safety and cleanliness while contributing to departmental KPIs and company objectives.

Job Responsibilities

1. To perform a variety of work in process machineries, equipment, facilities, and utilities system maintenance works within the company’s premises.
2. To execute the maintenance activity to the machinery equipment in the production line according to the report/request & on call by Superior (Maintenance & Production).
3. To perform activity related to Electrical & Mechanical for the manufacturing line.
4. To maintain inventory record and assist in performing periodic checking of spare parts inventory.
5. To rectify & fix the failure equipment in the manufacturing & facility building.
6. To support new machine tests, installation, and plant expansion projects.
7. Perform preventive & predictive maintenance works as per schedule, using appropriate equipment.
8. Assist in updating relevant documents on the completed preventive maintenance in a timely and accurate manner.
9. To participate in daily line housekeeping (5S activities) and maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
10. To work towards achieving department KPIs and overall company quality objectives.
11. To undertake job-related tasks as assigned by the superior/ the management.
12. Able to work in flexible time (normal & shift working hours).

Qualifications

1. Minimum SKM Level 3 or a Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronic or its equivalent will be prioritized.
2. Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience as a maintenance technician in the manufacturing field.
3. Possess the ability to do troubleshooting.
4. Willing to work in shift rotation and extra hours.
5. Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
6. Team player and good in collaborations.
7. Must be highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual.
