Senior Executive, Sustainability Analyst

Senior Sustainability Analyst, AirAsia Digital Engineering (ADE)
ADE is seeking to recruit a new team member to deliver its Sustainability commitments and cascade Capital A group-wide goals in our effort to meet the highest Environmental, Social and Governance standards. S/he will report to the Chief Sustainability Officer, Capital A, and work towards addressing factors that contribute to the long term sustainability of aviation engineering.

The key duties are as follows:

• Develop a sustainability framework to address material sustainability matters relevant to ADE’s business.
• Adapt and cascade Capital A sustainability goals across ADE functions.
• Monitor and track sustainability metrics, including key performance indicators.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce ADE’s environmental impact or enhance corporate social responsibility.
• Engage suppliers and partners to communicate ADE sustainability targets.
• Develop and implement processes to achieve ESG compliance in ADE’s value chain.
• Represent ADE at Capital A Sustainability Working Group meetings.
• Assist in strategising broader implementation of ESG parameters into decision-making processes.
• Provide ESG updates when required to the ADE Board and/or Board committees.
• Monitor sustainability developments and provide regular updates on regulatory changes and international best practices.
• Publish annual ESG performance reports.
• Implement sustainability projects with support of Capital A sustainability team.
• Experience in assessing and managing renewable energy projects is an advantage.

The candidate should be:

• Enthusiastic and capable of working on several projects simultaneously.
• Creative, detail-oriented, good with numbers, and able to find solutions to unexpected problems.
• Comfortable with independently planning tasks and managing time, including the tracking and processing of information in a fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related subject with minimum 2 years experience in MRO aviation or sustainability fields.
• Knowledge of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), sustainability concepts & principles.
• Conversant with Corporate Responsibility best practices and sustainability reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in cross-functional project management would be an advantage.
• Proficient in Google suite or Microsoft Office applications.
