Public Relations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations (PR) Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s public image, media strategy, and external communications. The ideal candidate will develop and execute PR campaigns, foster strong media relationships, and enhance brand awareness to align with the company’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:

• Design and execute PR campaigns to enhance the organization’s visibility and credibility.
• Align PR activities with marketing and organizational objectives.

Crisis Management:

• Develop and implement comprehensive crisis communication strategies to protect the organization’s reputation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during crisis situations, coordinating responses across teams and stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates to the media, public, and internal teams during crises.
• Analyze crisis scenarios and prepare action plans to mitigate future risks.

Media Relations:

• Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key influencers.
• Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and other media materials.

Event Coordination:

• Organize press conferences, media briefings, and public-facing events.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Evaluate the impact of PR campaigns and crisis responses through KPIs and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present regular reports on PR activities and outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of media landscapes, trends, and digital PR strategies.
• Proven track record of successful PR campaigns and crisis management.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in the retail industry is highly desirable.
• Must be available to respond to crises outside of regular business hours.
