IP Application Engineer

Job Description:
We are looking for an IP Application Engineer to join the IFS Design Engineering Platform Office team, who has experience and in-depth understanding of IP QA and release processes. The candidate should have familiarity and knowledge of IPs such as High Speed SerDes, UCIe, PCIe, HBM, DDR, Analog/Mixed Signal IPs like PLLs, Digital Thermal Sensors, GPIOs etc. In this role, the candidate will provide support to various customer projects in execution.

The candidate will work in conjunction with IFS Business Development, IP Ecosystem, Sourcing, Program Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams to deliver a winning solution. The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Ensures the successful integration of IP into an SoC.
2. Acts as the primary point of contact either from an IP team resolving SoC integration issues or from an SoC team responsible for managing the library of internally developed and externally supplied IP blocks and resolving quality and integration issues for IP.
3. Do IP Quality Assurance checks and benchmark IP portfolio for Intel technologies and processes using state of the art benchmarking techniques.
4. Support reviews and sign-off of IP validation plans and post-Silicon reports.
5. Support internal IP teams and IFS ecosystem teams in IP QA execution/monitoring/release processes.
6. Reviews IP performance and quality ensuring it conforms to the desired standards and targets and assists in creating quality assurance (QA) flows and verification methodology as required.
7. Run IP documentation reviews and quality improvements ensuring customer user friendliness is enhanced with application notes, white papers, and other supporting collaterals.
8. Run RTL encryption and verification checks, write Testcases to do sanity checks on the RTL.
9. Articulate the technical value of our IP roadmap to technical decision makers in Customer Engagements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience. OR a Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 2+years of relevant experience.
Experience in IP Quality Assessment and IP Release processes with industry standard tools and methodology.
Prior experience/technical background in IC design and verification and IP Release.
Prior experience or technical familiarity with Analog/Mixed-signal IPs like PLLs, Thermal Sensors, General purpose IOs etc and Soft-IPs like Controllers.
Prior experience or technical familiarity with interface and connectivity protocols, e.g. SerDes, PCIe, DDR, UCIe, USB, Ethernet.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Capability to interact with customer and engineering teams.
Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles, and define new approaches to overcome challenges.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with multiple stakeholders from a variety of orgs.

Working Model:
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
