Responsibilities
Craft and implement a dynamic social media strategy that aligns with business objectives, reflects brand values, and drives growth for MLBB Esports in Malaysia.
Identify the most effective social media channels and tactics to engage target audiences.
Design and execute impactful campaigns for MPL Malaysia while boosting local interest in global events like the M Series and Mid-Season Cup.
Develop strategies to elevate the esports ecosystem’s social media presence, empowering teams, players, talents, and content creators to grow their platforms.
Oversee day-to-day management of the MLBB Esports brand, ensuring consistent engagement, outreach, and content utilization to build audience affinity.
Direct the creation of engaging, high-quality, and platform-specific content tailored for different social media channels.
Collaborate with internal departments to deliver cohesive storytelling that amplifies brand messaging.
Work closely with appointed agencies to produce locally relevant, high-quality digital content across multiple platforms.
Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and optimize performance.
Act as a brand steward, ensuring all content aligns with the strategic vision and resonates with the esports community.
Community Management and Engagement
Foster a loyal and engaged online community through consistent interaction and meaningful conversations.
Develop and execute KOL and influencer strategies to enhance brand relevance and deepen audience engagement.
Maintain a consistent tone, style, and messaging across platforms that reflects the brand’s identity.
Monitor and address potential reputational risks or crises swiftly and effectively.
Campaign Management
Lead the ideation, planning, execution, and evaluation of social media campaigns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with organizational goals and amplify their impact.
Ensure all campaigns stay true to the brand identity while resonating with diverse audience segments.
Analytics and Performance Tracking
Establish clear KPIs for social media performance, tracking metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions.
Leverage analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics) to provide actionable insights and reports for stakeholders.
Use data to inform strategy adjustments, ensuring optimized ROI and sustained growth.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
Inspire and lead internal and external teams, including social media managers, content creators, and agency partners, to drive ecosystem growth collaboratively.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Innovation and Trendspotting
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and technologies to keep MLBB Esports at the forefront of digital engagement.
Advocate for innovative approaches by experimenting with new platform features and exploring creative communication channels to captivate the target audience.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years in social media marketing, esports, or entertainment, with a proven track record of successful campaigns.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
Strategic thinker with the ability to design and execute long-term campaigns.
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills; adept at simplifying and conveying ideas effectively.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, including algorithm trends and emerging features.
Proficient in data analytics and using insights to drive strategies and improve ROI.
