Job Summary:

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to help drive our dynamic tech efforts for global markets with a focus on Asia, producing best-in-class online marketing campaigns and strategies. We are looking for energetic and proactive self-starters with the ability to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor server performance and perform systems maintenance/backups according to requirements; troubleshoot issues and outages.
2. Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
3. Develop expertise for self-improvement and to train staff on new technologies.
4. Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
5. Perform on-page optimization activities based on client requirements; review client sites and provide feedback on areas that can be improved.
6. Stay on top of the latest Baidu-specific and Google algorithm releases and report any changes that may impact the client’s websites.
7. Participate in other ad-hoc projects including but not limited to the above-listed responsibilities as requested by the company.
8. Set up, configure, and maintain web stacks; support dev teams to fine-tune web stacks.
9. Manage and maintain domain list and DNS configurations.
10. Support marketing teams’ system and WordPress configuration needs; be ready on call for emergencies over the weekends and holidays.

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

1. Deep understanding of the Linux operating system and file system hierarchy - Minimum 2 years experience (for non-junior position).
2. Deep understanding of Nginx Web Servers.
3. Production experience with Docker Compose, Ansible.
4. Experience with backup processes, Git repositories.
5. Experience with CI/CD tools.
6. Experience with different cloud providers (AWS, Digital Ocean, etc.).
7. Experience with monitoring services; knowledge of the REST API and the HTTP protocol.
8. Experience with writing scripts in bash and/or Python to automate workflow processes.
9. Experience with Cloudflare, DNS records, and various domain providers.
10. Knowledge of security best practices, troubleshooting, and debugging skills on WordPress backend UI.

Added Advantage:

1. SEO copywriting experience.
2. Technical skills include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, DedeCMS, backoffice.
