Role

As our Assistant Dietetics & Food Services Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to their individual needs. You will:

  1. Assist in the daily management of dietetic and food service operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  2. Support menu development, considering dietary needs, physician orders, and health regulations.
  3. Supervise food service staff, upholding operational standards, recipes, and portion control.
  4. Train staff on food safety, dietary requirements, customer service, and equipment use.
  5. Manage patient/customer interactions, addressing dietary concerns, allergies, and feedback with empathy and expertise.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and dietary regulations (HACCP, local health codes, etc.).
  7. Assist in budgeting and inventory management to control costs and minimize waste.
  8. Monitor food quality and service consistency, taking corrective action as needed.
  9. Implement quality control and best practices within the food service department.
  10. Work effectively with senior management, clinical staff, and other departments.
  11. Prepare reports on food service performance, budget, compliance, and other metrics.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics
  2. Extensive Dietitian Experience: At least 5-6 years of clinical experience as a dietitian in a healthcare setting.
  3. Collaboration Expertise: Proven ability to contribute to interdisciplinary meetings, share nutrition expertise, and ensure dietary interventions align with patient care plans.
  4. Food Service Management Advantage: Experience in food service management is highly desirable.
  5. Leadership Skills: Prior leadership experience is a significant advantage.
