Position: Director/ Senior Business Development Manager (Staffing & Recruitment)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Role Overview: Teknowiz is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive client acquisition and revenue growth for its Recruitment and Staffing vertical across the SEA region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the staffing industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to establish scalable business strategies. This role is critical to building a robust client base and ensuring operational success from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy targeting key industries (e.g., IT, finance, banking, manufacturing).
Identify new business opportunities and create plans to penetrate competitive markets.
Client Acquisition:
Prospect, pitch, and secure long-term clients through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
Build strong relationships with HR leaders, CXOs, and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs.
Revenue Generation:
Set and meet revenue and sales targets quarterly and annually.
Negotiate and finalize contracts to ensure profitability.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure client requirements are met efficiently.
Provide input on candidate sourcing strategies to align with client expectations.
Market Intelligence:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to inform business strategy.
Reporting and Metrics:
Track and report sales performance, pipeline activity, and client feedback to senior management.
Develop actionable insights based on performance data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in business development within the staffing or recruitment industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Strong understanding of recruitment processes and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM tools, ATS software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
