Software Quality Analyst

Purpose Statement: The Software Quality Analyst is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, implement testing strategies, and lead quality improvement initiatives. The Software Quality Analyst works as a bridge between the software development team and leadership staff within the business to ensure that the information system being developed meets the business needs and the documented specifications.

Key Job Accountabilities:

1. Quality Assurance Support: Assist senior quality analysts in executing test cases and quality assurance activities to identify and report software defects, contributing to product quality.
2. Test Documentation: Participate in the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring comprehensive coverage of different aspects of the software.
3. Defect Reporting: Work alongside senior analysts to document and track defects, providing clear and concise information to assist developers in resolving issues.
4. Automated Testing: Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency in identifying defects.
5. Learning and Development: Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in software testing methodologies and tools.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

1. Requires a Bachelor's degree. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

Other Qualifications:

1. ISTQB Foundation Level is desirable.
2. Agile and Lean Six Sigma certifications are desirable.
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
4. Experience in computing systems is highly desirable.
5. Critical thinking.
6. Analytical ability.
7. Ability to negotiate.
8. Ability to facilitate meetings.
9. Continuous learning.
10. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
