Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), financial management, and Bursa Malaysia compliance within the property development, construction, and conglomerate sectors. The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial strategy, investment decisions, and corporate growth initiatives, ensuring long-term profitability and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  2. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities, including due diligence, financial modeling, deal structuring, and integration planning.
  3. Bursa Malaysia Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, securities regulations, and corporate governance best practices.
  4. Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, providing insights and recommendations to the board and executive team.
  5. Risk Management: Implement and monitor risk management frameworks, ensuring financial controls and governance structures are in place.
  6. Capital Management & Fundraising: Lead capital structuring, debt financing, and investor relations to optimize funding strategies for business expansion.
  7. Operational Efficiency: Enhance financial operations, cost management, and resource allocation to improve overall business performance.
  8. Stakeholder Management: Engage with investors, analysts, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to maintain strong financial credibility and trust.
  9. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA qualification preferred.
  2. Minimum 15 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO role within a property development, construction, or conglomerate company.
  3. Proven track record in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), capital structuring, and corporate finance.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Securities Commission Malaysia regulations, and corporate governance best practices.
  5. Strong financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis capabilities.
  6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strategic and hands-on approach.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience in managing IPOs, corporate restructuring, or large-scale investment projects.
  2. Familiarity with international financial regulations and cross-border transactions.
