About the Role

As the General Manager (GM) you will be at the helm of our operations, ensuring the agency delivers exceptional service, maintains strong client relationships, and achieves financial and business growth targets. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for overseeing client success, operational efficiency, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the agency and key clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement client retention and growth strategies to maximise revenue and business impact.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support the sales team in securing high-value contracts.
  • Ensure the agency delivers exceptional marketing services that align with client goals and expectations.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, ensuring the agency delivers measurable impact and value.
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Oversee account management and ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and exceeding expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services to maximize revenue growth.

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day agency operations, ensuring smooth project execution and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a high-performance and client-focused culture.
  • Implement and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) for project delivery, client success, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage technology and automation to streamline operations and enhance performance.
  • Implement processes and tools to optimise workflow efficiency, scalability, and collaboration across teams.
  • Ensure the agency maintains high-quality standards in strategy, execution, and reporting.
  • Manage a team of HODs across Growth (Media), MarComm: Influencer Marketing, Digital PR, Creative, Content, CRM, Finance & HR.

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Own the agency’s P&L, ensuring financial health and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve margins, optimize costs, and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor agency performance metrics and identify areas for growth and cost optimization.
  • Provide regular financial reports and performance updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure revenue goals are met through new business development, client retention, and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role within a digital marketing agency or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, scale operations, and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, media planning, and performance marketing.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
