System Software Development Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Software Development Engineer to join our team, specializing in the UEFI domain. The candidate will have a strong understanding of UEFI firmware, BIOS, and related technologies, and will be responsible for working with customers, enabling them to integrate our deliverables, and maximize the benefits of our products.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer enabling for UEFI firmware and BIOS
2. Debug and resolve issues related to UEFI firmware and BIOS
3. Work along with customers in the integration of our software solutions into their systems
4. Develop and deliver technical training on UEFI firmware and BIOS to customers
5. Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand product features and roadmap
7. Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and issues
8. Stay updated with the latest developments in our upcoming platforms, UEFI firmware, and BIOS technologies

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or master's degree with 5 years of experience in Computer Science, Electronics engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
2. Strong understanding of UEFI/BIOS, x86/ARM architecture, Operating Systems, Device Driver architecture, System integration, and related technologies
3. Good understanding of programming languages like C/C++, Python, Version control software preferably Git, and debug tools
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
5. Strong communication skills, presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts, features, issues resolution to customers
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Added advantage with CSME basic knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the UEFI domain
2. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in the UEFI domain

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances, the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
