Mechanic cum Operator (Pavement) (Yong Peng, Johor)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

1. Management of vehicles & Machinery
   1. Ensure all machineries are working in a good condition to get maximum output and to suit with technical requirement set out by the client/consultant.
   2. Ensure that vehicles and machineries are cleaned and ready to be used at all times.
   3. Report immediately any damage to vehicles and machineries.
2. Cooperation with team members and Level of Skills using machinery
   1. Undertake responsibility to supervise the works in absence of the supervisor.
   2. Assist supervisor in executing daily site progress report.
   3. Ensure machinery is ready before starting work.
   4. Capable of operating more than 3 machines.
3. Quality of work
   1. Ensure the quality of pavement work is good.
   2. Ensure no defects and no rework caused by machine operation.
   3. Adhere to Safe Working Practices at work site following HSE requirements.
   4. Ensure all work conducted complies with Work Instruction as approved.
4. Responsible for submitting a monthly machinery report to the Logistic Machineries Department.
5. Responsible for recording daily diesel consumption for each of the machineries.
6. Code & Ethic Works
   1. Attendance to site as scheduled.
   2. Report to team leader in case of emergency or any medical leave.
   3. Dress code at site must be proper and follow guidelines.

Requirements

1. Minimum Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Level 3 and/or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
2. At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating heavy machinery for roadwork or related industries.
3. Proven ability to operate a minimum of three different types of heavy machinery listed (e.g., Paver, Milling, Tandem Roller, etc.).
