Dental Assistant

About the role

Join our team at Dr Teo Dental Clinic as a full-time Dental Assistant based in Penampang, Sabah. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our dental practice.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting dentist during examinations and procedures by handing them instruments, mixing materials, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Sterilising and preparing dental instruments and equipment
• Greeting and welcoming patients, helping them feel at ease, and collecting necessary information
• Providing patient education on oral hygiene and preventative care
• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic dental charts
• Ordering and stocking dental supplies as needed
• Adhering to all health, safety, and infection control protocols

What we're looking for

• Female
• Min SPM qualification, with or without experience; training will be provided
• Proficient in Bahasa Melayu and English; Mandarin is a bonus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and upholding the highest standards of dental practice
• A team-oriented approach and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
