Finance Manager

In the Finance Manager role, you'd be responsible for overseeing the work of the finance team, with the support of 2 Finance Executives. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will assist with the preparation of management accounts and month end processes.

You don't need to be an expert or know everything about our industry (even we don't!). But the work is challenging, fast paced, and always on the bleeding edge. So, we're looking for someone with a curious mind, a strong drive to make things happen, and a passion to keep improving yourself.

Requirements:

What you will do:

1. Ensure smooth month end closing, timely payments and accurate reporting.
2. Preparation of consolidated P&L, Cashflow and Balance Sheet.
3. Preparation of cash flow statement (monthly).
4. Preparation of management accounts with the assistance of finance executives.
5. Preparation of annual budget and forecasts.
6. Maintenance of key control accounts and intercompany balances.
7. Preparation of annual statutory accounts for company and subsidiaries.
8. Year end audit preparation and support during financial auditing of all the company accounts.
9. Payroll Preparation/Supervision.
10. Review monthly reports of all junior team members.
11. Ad hoc duties as and when required.
12. Back up resource for members of the finance team when absent.
13. Team leading responsibility for finance team on all aspects of the accounting function, including the managing and delegation of daily workload, resolution of any issues, provision of training and coaching where necessary.

What you will need:

1. Proven work experience (at least 4 years) in accounting/ finance function or audit, startup experience is a plus.
2. Good attention to detail.
3. Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and basic accounting knowledge.
4. Competency in MS Office and Xero accounting software a plus.
5. SST knowledge a plus.
6. Self-motivated and a team player.
7. Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
8. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
9. Good organizational and time-management abilities.
10. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or has completed a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
