Position Objective:

- The overarching objective of the Manager, Cloud Services is to assist in the operational performance of Group shared Public Cloud services. The role will ensure the chosen automation platforms of Shared Services are well maintained and available to the wider environment.
- The role will be responsible to fulfill all new demand as required to deliver business objectives on demand.
- The role needs to ensure that all BU demands are taken into consideration when operating shared Public Cloud Automation Platforms and build a fully integrated support model with BUs and Group.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the operational governance of the multi-cloud environment (predominantly Azure but with an AliCloud and AWS footprint)
- Develop infrastructure automation via the use of Infrastructure-As-Code tooling predominately Terraform
- Develop automation playbooks for use with predominately Ansible
- Work with other members of the team to identify areas for operational improvement through automation
- Experience with code repo technologies such as BitBucket and GitHub
- Demonstrated experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
- Script writing and development of configuration templates are required for cloud automation
- Other responsibilities and duties will be periodically assigned in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.
- Management and compliance of Public Cloud technologies to audit standards
- Work with the Group Technical Risk to ensure compliance to all security requirements and standards
- Provisioning and support of non-standard services that might not be covered in service provider contracts.

Communication Requirement:
- Communication with stakeholders including but not limited to local Business Units, Risk, Audit, IT, Corporate Security, Human Resources, and communication at all levels within key vendors including Microsoft, AWS, Ali-Cloud, and cloud managed service providers (IBM and BT)
- Excellent command of spoken and written English to allow communication with all levels of management and ability to deliver written reports and verbal updates to stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years relevant experience in Cloud Engineering with 2 or more years within a Cloud Automation Engineering role
- Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration, and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment
- Proven experience plus relevant professional certifications (Ansible, Terraform, Azure, AWS etc)
- Experience of CI/CD pipeline tooling including Jenkins
- Experience of Infrastructure-As-Code configuration management tooling (at least one of the following: Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef/Puppet)
- Ability to write templates for IaC tooling
- Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation
- Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage
- Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit where delivery is through influence rather than direct control
- Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices.
