Tax Manager
Job description
The Tax Manager oversees all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations while optimizing tax efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax returns (PPh 21, 22, 23, 25, 26, PPN, etc.).
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with the latest tax laws.
- Review tax calculations, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy.
- Prepare and review tax provisions for financial reporting (local and IFRS).
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax risks.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and incentives applicable to the business.
- Provide guidance on cross-border transactions and transfer pricing regulations.
- Tax Audits & Disputes
- Lead tax audits and liaise with tax authorities on behalf of the company.
- Prepare necessary documentation and responses to tax audit queries.
- Manage dispute resolution and tax litigation processes if necessary.
- Advisory & Business Support
- Provide tax advice to other departments, including finance, legal, and operations.
- Assist in structuring business transactions in a tax-efficient manner.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and recommend improvements.
- Team Management & Development
- Supervise and mentor the tax team, ensuring continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
- Conduct internal training sessions on tax compliance and updates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational & Professional Background
- Min. bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Minimum5–8 yearsof experience in taxation, with at least3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience inFMCG / Manufacturingindustries is a plus.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge ofIndonesian tax laws and regulations.
- Familiarity withtransfer pricing, international tax, andtax treaties.
- Proficiency in tax reporting software
- Understanding ofIFRS and local GAAP tax implications.
- Experience in managing tax audits and dealing with tax authorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ethical, with high integrity and professional judgment.
