Automotive Technician

Job Responsibility

1. To conduct maintenance service in accordance to allocation by Workshop Job Controller.
2. To conduct major maintenance or repair in accordance to respective skill level and training matrix.
3. To punch 'start' and 'end' job to ensure the timing stated in 'Labour Time Guide'.
4. To conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting.
5. To assist Service Advisor in inspection.
6. To ensure all necessary steps such as 'fender cover', 'seat cover', etc. are used before commencing any service maintenance or repair.
7. To ensure job carried out using appropriate general mechanic hand tools and special service tools (SST).
8. All repair jobs and diagnostic jobs must be accompanied with printouts from workshop manual.
9. To assist Service Manager in warranty investigation.
10. To ensure working area and surroundings are always clean and free from clutter.
11. To practice 'Seiri, Seiton and Seiso' in the workshop.
12. To ensure responsible and good quality job within the Isuzu standards in order to reduce/eliminate any comeback jobs.
13. To conduct One Round Inspection ('ORI') on vehicle.
14. To learn and conduct Preventive Maintenance Inspection ('PMI').
15. To assist in conducting on-site service at customers' premises/workshop if necessary.
16. To attend trainings as and when assigned by the Service Manager.
17. Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.

Job Requirements

1. At least Professional Certificate (e.g. SKM Level 1, 2 or 3) or Diploma in relevant education.
2. Preferably minimum 1 year of related working experience.
3. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
4. Must have basic automotive engineering background.
5. Able to speak in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
6. Must be able to conduct minor and major service jobs with basic troubleshooting skills.
7. Able to work closely under a team spirit.
8. Able to use the basic diagnostic tools and general repair tools in the workshop to capture accurate readings and measurements effectively.
9. Able to communicate with customers and internal staff in a professional manner.
10. Able to work with minimum supervision and under pressure (for example: tight deadlines).
11. Able to work on alternate Saturdays.
