Responsibilities
Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Assistant Pharmacy Manager in the planning, organizing, supervising and monitoring the provision of pharmaceutical services within the Hospital in accordance with professional practice requirements, existing legislations and hospital policies.
Responsible for administrative work of Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy.
Screening, reviewing and filling prescription orders from the consultants.
Preparing, compounding and dispensing medication, radiopharmaceutical drugs and Dangerous drugs in accordance with established SOPs and regulations.
Provide patient counseling on correct technique and use of medication.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety procedures.
Checking equipment for quality and safety assurance purposes.
Ensure workflow complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & Good Preparation Practice (GPP) standards.
Supervising, coaching, training and assessing staff on drug review and dispensing.
Managing the procurement and inventory of drugs, radio-isotopes, generators, cold kits and other supplies in the Nuclear Medicine Pharmacy.
Ensure proper maintenance and safekeeping of all prescription and quality records.
To support the Hospital Administration in the preparation, documentation and implementation of any program towards the hospital quality systems accreditation and inspection by MOH regulatory bodies.
Qualifications Required
Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
Fully Registered Pharmacist (FRP) with the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia.
Holds a valid Annual Retention Certificate from the Pharmacy Board.
Training certification by Agensi Nuklear Malaysia.
Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Hospital Nuclear Pharmacy.
Possessing over 5 years of experience in a related field would be an advantage.
Other Additional Requirements
Well-versed in computer software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Able to supervise and lead a team.
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
