Position Overview:
We are seeking an HR People Analytics Data Engineer with a technical background to lead the development of data models and analytics pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making across HR & business functions. You will be instrumental in enhancing our HR analytics capabilities, collaborating closely with the IT Workday and HR IS teams to ensure the right data infrastructure, quality, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen Data Infrastructure, Governance, and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the HR IS team and the Workday CoE to build robust data models and pipelines. Ensure seamless integration of Workday and other data tools while focusing on data quality and security, enabling the delivery of accurate and reliable insights.

  • Advanced Data Analytics: Leverage advanced analytical techniques to provide actionable insights that support HR decision-making. Develop predictive models and dashboards using Workday, PowerBI, and other tools to empower People Analytics clients.

  • Storytelling: Partner with HR and business teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. Present insights through compelling data stories that highlight key trends, outcomes, and business impacts, making the data relatable and engaging for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectively communicate complex data insights in simple, actionable terms.

  • Drive Data-Driven Culture: Promote a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making. Deliver training and workshops to upskill stakeholders in using data and analytics tools effectively.

  • Project Management: Lead key projects related to HR data analytics, from data model creation to the delivery of predictive insights. Continuously refine the People Analytics roadmap and collaborate on new technology integrations.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a data engineering or analytics role, with a focus on People data, business intelligence, and data modeling.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong expertise in Power BI and Workday for data visualization and dashboard creation.

    • Proven experience with Workday integration and People data models.

    • Familiarity with advanced analytics, including statistical modeling.

    • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

    • Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data technologies is an asset.

  • Data Visualization: Expertise in designing effective, user-friendly data visualizations that simplify complex data and allow stakeholders to derive insights easily.

  • Data Storytelling: Ability to transform raw data into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives that drive business decisions. Proficiency in presenting data insights through engaging visualizations, clear context, and storytelling techniques.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to engage with HR, IT, and analytics teams to define requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure alignment across the organization.

  • Change Management: Experience in fostering a data-driven culture and managing change within an organization.

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
