PEC, an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet, is seeking a Country Manager to join our new plant in Penang, Malaysia. Your tasks

The Country Manager holds the daily management responsibility for the subsidiary (sales, support engineers, production engineers and administrative personnel).

You will be responsible for:

• Operational management of the subsidiary, including the definition and follow-up of individual objectives, and the optimization of the company’s results in Malaysia.
• Manage, improve and extend relationships with key customers, suppliers and government (nationwide)
• Manage staffing and contractors
• Daily coaching of the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in achieving their targets
• Closely co-operate with Engineering, sales and manufacturing at HQ in Belgium
• Further grow and develop the PEC brand and business in Malaysia
• Direct reporting to the CEO

The ideal candidate has

• A Master degree in Business Administration, Technical Field (engineering) or Supply Chain
• 5 to 8 years of proven people management experience in an international group
• Proven experience in successfully setting up a production plant, preferably in Asia
• You are a pragmatic, inspiring and hands-on leader with strong business sense
• A stress-resistant mindset and is a problem-solver
• Excellent communication skills in English
