Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee the quality management systems for our UHT dairy production. The role involves ensuring compliance with food safety standards, supervising product testing and inspections, managing regulatory audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, expertise in food safety regulations (ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP), and a proven track record in maintaining product excellence within the dairy or food production industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations. Establish quality control guidelines to monitor the manufacturing process and ensure dairy products meet customer expectations and safety standards.
• Product Testing and Inspection: Supervise and conduct product sampling, testing, and inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Ensure that the correct testing equipment is available, calibrated, and used properly during testing processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including ISO 22000, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant food safety regulations. Liaise with external regulatory bodies for inspections, certifications, and audits.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality control tests, reports, audits, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed quality assurance reports, presenting key findings and trends to senior management.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train the QAQC team, ensuring that staff are knowledgeable about quality standards and procedures. Provide guidance and support to the team to ensure high-quality production standards are maintained.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for quality improvement in production processes and implementing corrective actions. Analyze quality issues, determine root causes, and lead corrective and preventive action processes.
• Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with the procurement department to monitor the quality of raw materials and suppliers. Conduct supplier audits and manage the quality of inbound materials, ensuring that all raw materials comply with company standards.
• Customer Complaints and Feedback: Handle customer complaints related to product quality, investigating and ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly and effectively. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of complaints and improve product quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. Professional certifications in quality management or food safety (e.g., Six Sigma, HACCP, ISO 9001) are desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a QAQC role within the dairy or food production industry. At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality control processes, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the dairy industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve quality-related problems. Proficient in the use of quality management software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented and highly organized. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
