Head of Procurement (Asia Pacific)

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Built and lead Procurement Region Asia/Pacific consisting of several Country Procurement functions with a strong mandate to manage it on a regional basis.
2. Develop and manage effectively the regional Procurement teams and promote cross-country teamwork; responsible for the Procurement site in Penang.
3. Ensure the development of profound knowledge of relevant supply markets.
4. Identify, qualify, evaluate and develop best-in-class suppliers for the region and maintain professional relationships.
5. Guarantee knowledge of the most important current and future strategies and demands of internal stakeholders in the region.
6. Make sure that business-effective sourcing strategies are developed and implemented that add value to B. Braun.
7. Pool purchases and negotiate annual commodity agreements as well as top projects and include other locations of the region as appropriate and ensure supply continuity.
8. Decide on the most efficient coordination level for Corporate Procurement initiatives (regional, country) in alignment with CPO.
9. Ensure attractive sourcing projects to generate important savings and non-monetary benefits.
10. Promote performance excellence and professionalism within the region's Procurement functions and ensure continuous updates of the organization compared to best-in-class practices.
11. Guarantee transparency for all Procurement relevant data for the region.
12. Develop, improve and deploy uniform best practice processes, tools and techniques in the region in strong collaboration with Global Procurement Services in Headquarters.

Professional Competencies:

1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Proven experience (5-10 years) within production procurement/category Management within APAC
3. Experience of direct and indirect procurement, procurement excellence
4. Experience as a People leader, managing a large team
5. Knowledge of the whole supply chain (all the various inter-dependencies for procurement)
6. Knowledge of sustainability procurement would be an added advantage.
