DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performing basic QS rules and duties in leading the existing QS team in own section.
2. Get sub-contractor and supplier quotation analysis calling and prepare letter of awards or works order to the successful sub-contractor.
3. Liaise with consultant & client.
4. Issue payment certificate to sub-contractor on time.
5. Issue variation order to sub-contractor on time.
6. Prepare progress claim on time.
7. Sort out material quantities identified in the trade of work involved.
8. Attend compulsory site visit (if any) before preparation of tender exercise.
9. Attend interview (if shortlisted).
10. Request sample/catalogue/technical data from sub-contractor/supplier.
11. Attend regular site visit/inspection on progress of site and monitor usage & stock material on site.
12. Call sub-contractor for quotation, taking off, pricing, costing, checking, squaring BQ.
13. Revise tender pre-quotation.
14. Assist Project Manager in preparing budget and monitoring.
15. Prepare and complete final re-measurement/account for client and sub-contractor.
16. Monitor and prepare documentation for CMAD and release of retention.
17. Attend to contractual matters and advise management of repercussions.
18. Cooperate with the management or its representatives in the implementation of safety & health matters.
19. Work as a team in achieving the QOHS Objective as stated in the QOHS manual.
20. Undertake other duties as instructed.
