ACCOUNTS MANAGER

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounts department, including month-end and year-end closing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, loans, and hire purchase.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Handle corporate tax, transfer pricing, SST, and compliance matters related to financial reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual financial audits and resolve audit issues.
• Manage and generate periodic management KPI’s analysis and reports inclusive of the full spectrum of budgeting for business performance and planning.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
• Manage full-set management accounts closings & analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assist in all corporate finance and treasury functions such as liaising with bankers, Foreign Exchange contracts, fund transfers, fund raising, etc.
• Perform treasury functions, maintaining optimal cash flow, and reviewing banking facilities for compliance.
• Liaise and follow up with Auditor / Tax Agent / Co-Secretariat / authorities / LHDN to ensure compliance and timely submission of all statutory related matters e.g., SST filing, Tax filing, MIDA, Co. Annual Return filing, Kastam application/certification/renewal/clearance, etc.
• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with tax laws and local regulations.
• Review and uphold Accounts & Finance department’s policy, SOP, work processes & work instructions to be relevant, effective, and efficient.
• Prepare and analyse financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Lead the annual budget and monthly forecast process, monitoring key financial targets through regular performance reviews and taking early action when needed.

Qualifications

• ACCA qualification or above is required.
