IT Project Manager

The role of the IT Project Manager is to plan, execute and finalize IT-related projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the effort and expectations of stakeholders, project team, third party contractors, suppliers, and/or consultants to ensure successful project delivery.

The role will also define the project objective and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage several projects through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning, execution, and tactical activities.
• Project planning, timeline tracking, scope management, financial planning, tracking, and change management.
• Define and govern IT project life cycle, waterfall / Agile.
• Identify project issues and risks.
• Ensure IT risk and audit items are managed and completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure projects are well defined, aligned to business goals, well documented, and appropriately reported.
• Ensure all risks and issues are understood, raised, prioritized, and escalated (if appropriate) with sufficient time to enable resolution and/or independent decisions to be made.
• Work with all internal and external partners/vendors to interpret and understand impacts of the evolving regulatory landscape.
• Collaborate with other business leaders and subject matter experts to analyze business impact, identify how this changing regulatory landscape will affect the project, and define options to achieve compliance.
• Set up and drive cross-functional project teams to design and implement solutions.
• Extract information at all levels of the organization (individual contributor to senior management) to identify core problems/needs.
• Write system requirement specifications to include use cases, data models, assumptions, and mock-ups, when necessary.
• Manage vendor relationships across the whole project/cross-project.
• Complete and provide necessary reports as required for different committees and management needs.
• Manage project staff/resources (if any).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Good knowledge in Banking, Data/System Migration, and BNM regulations.
