About the team:

• The solution architect team is fronting the promotion and realization of client solutions by onboarding financial institutions and mobile payment providers across Southeast Asia.
• The Solution Architect (SA) role is responsible for leading key strategic activities such as Integration Solution Architecture creation and presentation as well as projects' implementation and maintenance. This role provides leadership for activities such as Solution Optimization, Integration Detail reviews, Technical Design reviews, Project Plan reviews, and Impact Analysis reviews. Working closely with regional and global BD, PD, and Dev teams to continuously improve the Alipay enterprise platform and enhance the end-to-end product experience.

About the job position responsibilities:

• Conduct technical workshops with potential clients to help them understand mini program technology (capability, advantage, integration effort, etc.). Provide materials and solutions to address client’s questions about customization, security, architecture, etc.
• Drive end-to-end implementation and integration with both bank/mobile payment partners and internal cross-functional teams. Manage project risks and stakeholder expectations. Ensure the successful delivery of the project.
• Provide support to existing partners to help them resolve mini program-related issues, collect new requirements that can be transferred into standard platform features, and deliver to the internal product team. Also support internal business to be onboarded and go-live with partners.
• Research and understand industry best solutions related to mini program technology, build tools and solutions, and provide recommendations to reduce the effort in mini program platform integration.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subjects.
• Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in software development related areas, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in software development for web or Internet-based systems.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mobile development (iOS or Android) or frontend development (Vue.js, React.js, or other frameworks).
• Good knowledge of Java, network, Database, Cloud, etc.
• Proven record in designing and implementing complex customer solutions and bridging product and technology gaps.
• Good fundamentals and hands-on experience with API integration, database, web security, application design, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate good business sense and experience using various technical solutions to fulfill business needs, able to communicate effectively with internal or external customers and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• Able to assess current product and technology gaps and come up with the best technical solution.
• Good communication skills in English (oral/written) and Chinese (oral/written) as this role will need to work closely with global customers and partners.
• Able to communicate comfortably and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in a global context.
• Able to travel to meet local partners and global partners in SEA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrate good business sense and enjoy using various technical solutions to fulfill business needs.
• Mobile development knowledge would be an advantage (HTML5, iOS, Android).
• ACP (Alibaba Cloud Certification Professional) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professionals would be an added advantage.
• Familiar with Fintech technology, a solid understanding of the payments industry, and experience in large scale payment/e-commerce related domains is an advantage.
