Primary Objective:
YUZU is seeking a Malaysian qualified Derivatives & Finance Lawyer who is available to undertake client assignments. You will support international banking clients in our banking and finance legal operations.
Some opportunities may allow for remote or hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and review a wide range of financial services documents, including derivatives documentation, structured notes documentation, commercial lending agreements, and trade finance contracts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal advice and support to banking teams on global markets matters.
- Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes in financial services.
- Assist in drafting, modifying, and finalizing legal documents and financial services agreements.
Qualifications:
- Law degree and a current valid license to practice law in Malaysia.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a derivatives lawyer in a reputable law firm or major financial institution.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, structured notes, and trade finance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with international banking regulations is a plus.
