British American Tobacco Digital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer in Sunway Geo.

The role is accountable for solution design, delivery, and operations for multiple components and processes within the function, which have strategic importance to BAT and contribute to our ability to deliver business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure service availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning are within contracted levels.
• Create a bridge between development and service operations.
• Building solutions to help Service Operations and the Business units.
• Develop relationships with DRBU to assess their technology and support needs.
• Offer innovative solutions that meet the business needs while remaining cost-effective.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and ensure service delivery performance.
• Maintain familiarity with current and upcoming IT technology, services, and other developments.
• Provide recommendations on appropriate IT strategies and best practices to implement to overcome challenges and achieve set objectives.

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITIES and DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES

• Help maintain cloud infrastructure in Cloud environment in collaboration with our partners.
• Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of our cloud infrastructure.
• Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to new cloud infrastructure in our rapid iteration and constant growth.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mind.
• Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Participate in a 24x7 rotation for second and third-tier escalations.
• Monitor and provide input on practices and processes to own and drive the implementation of improvement strategies and plans.
• Manage new business demand and requests.
• Manage Third Party Support partners to drive service operation.
• Engage with Solution Architect to establish service roadmaps.
• Adhere to all BAT standards, governance, and compliance.
• Involve in regulating expenditures, analyzing variances, and conducting forecasts to identify requirements useful in preparing annual budgets.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Perform IT administration and management duties as part of plans for enhancing IT services.

Internal: Peer group and internal customers across IDT Services, IDT Technology Delivery, Product/Project Manager, and BAT business areas.

External: 3rd Party Vendors – non-commercial supplier relationships focused on operational/project activities.

What are we looking for?

Experience Required:

• Experience in a large global organization using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a good working knowledge of the management of global services.

Technical / Soft skills:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, stakeholder management, and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other Engineers, Product Managers, etc.
• Experience deploying and configuring infrastructure in any cloud vendor like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Breadth of knowledge of best practice IT Service Management (ITIL).

Education / Qualifications:

• Degree Educated, 3-5 years post-graduate work experience in an IT Services environment and/or business-facing IT role.
• Exposure to AGILE, DEVOPS, Automation is an added advantage.
• Cloud certification is an added advantage.
