Long Description

The Senior Specialist, IT Solutions provides business, process and technical expertise to teams that are responsible for assessing, designing, delivering and supporting IT solutions to clients and customers. The Senior IT Solution Specialist will also have the experience and responsibility to ensure that solution team members that are external to IT or even Celestica will also provide quality input and deliverables in a way that meets Celestica's overall goals and requirements, and will need to manage relationships and negotiate and resolve conflict when necessary. The Senior IT Solution Specialist will have the knowledge and experience to establish goals and strategies in areas of specialty.

Responsibilities

1. Provide SAP functional support on SAP logistic modules; and provide leadership and coaching to new or junior resources in the team.
2. Work closely with users to understand requirements and work with level 2 / level 3 to develop solutions in accordance with organization/client standards and architecture.
3. Analyze business requirements and mapping of those to SAP best practice business processes and data models to meet client requirements effectively.
4. Knowledge and ability to design and develop test plans for executing unit, integration, system, data conversion or acceptance testing.
5. Coordinate execution of support tasks with other teams and be comfortable in working under the pressure of tight deadlines.
6. Conduct knowledge transfer and training of users.
7. Liaise with external/in-house developers and site support for system changes and maintenance.
8. Ensure project and support service level targets are met.
9. Perform production support activities (e.g. break/fix, how to expertise, troubleshooting).

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Experience in discrete manufacturing environment.
3. At least 5 years’ experience as SAP functional support roles.
4. Expert functional business process is an advantage.
5. Exposure to system integration via EDI/ALE/IDOC/Ariba.
6. Strong communication with varying levels of audiences both written and verbal.
7. Excellent communication and problem resolution skills.
