Role Purpose

TheEngineering Coordinator applies project knowledge, engineering expertise, and industry experience to coordinate the design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup of facilities and equipment for an FPSO project. The role ensures seamless engineering execution while supporting project management, procurement, HSE, QA/QC, operations, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate engineering disciplines assigned to the project, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery of all project milestones.
• Support the Engineering Manager and deputize as needed.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, directives, and project goals.
• Participate in risk assessments, change management, and engineering issue resolution.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential project challenges.

Technical Oversight & Engineering Compliance

• Review and approve calculations, RFQs, and technical bid analyses as authorized by the Engineering Manager.
• Support schedule management, resource allocation, and target achievement.
• Interface with project teams to ensure smooth execution across all project phases.
• Conduct technical reviews and approvals as required.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Engage with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical alignment.
• Participate in project, engineering, and vendor kick-off meetings.
• Provide regular progress updates to the Engineering Manager and project leadership.

Manpower & Work Planning

• Plan day-to-day engineering activities and manpower allocation.
• Ensure the availability of the right resources to meet schedule and project targets.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Shipbuilding Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in FPSO or offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong background in structural and mechanical engineering principles.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in analysis software such as SACS, Staad.Pro, FEMAP-Nastran, or other FEM software.
• Strong understanding of FPSO engineering, fabrication, and commissioning processes.
