Job Summary:
The Process Technician is responsible for performing assigned technical tasks, assisting with process development, generating visual instructions and procedures, completing assigned duties on time, following document procedures, and maintaining compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create manufacturing documentation required to support manufacturing, testing, and production operations.
- Create simple tools, fixtures, and jigs to support production operations.
- Assist Process Engineers with various tasks necessary to support daily manufacturing operations.
- Initiate troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and identify effective solutions to production problems or NPI projects.
- Coordinate communication to Production Operators or Process Engineers on root cause analysis and findings.
- Assist Process Engineers in executing Continuous Improvement activities - Yield, Cycle Time improvement, etc.
- Assist in quoting and requesting P.O. for new equipment, fixtures, and tools.
- Support investigation of non-conforming materials.
- Support and perform validation activities (IQ, OQ, and PQ) led by Process Engineers.
- Support and perform continuous verification of manufacturing equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and maintain its validated state.
- Perform any other reasonable duties/tasks assigned by Supervisor/Superior.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in Production Sustaining and/or New Product Introduction Projects.
- Demonstrated skills in basic electronics and/or mechanical design aptitude.
- Ability to communicate in Malay (written and oral) and basic English (written and oral).
- Ability to perform basic data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience with optical/electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
- Electronic and mechanical equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Knowledge of ISO-13485.
- General knowledge in Lean Manufacturing; SPC techniques, QC tools, etc.
Education:
Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electronics or higher.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in a production environment, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.
