Technical Sales Engineer

Company Background:

We are representing our client, a global European market leader in power distribution protection, monitoring, control, and systems, looking for a Technical Sales Engineer for the Malaysia market.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining and growing existing customers; key tasks will focus on developing new customers to grow in the Malaysia market.
• Evaluate and develop strategies for targeted markets to generate new leads and opportunities.
• Build strong and collaborative relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure smooth delivery to customers.
• Conduct market research, forecast, and provide feedback to the Sales Director for assessment.
• Drive product presentation and penetration with confidence.
• Sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales revenue.
• Hunter-like mentality to look for new customers.
• Proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in the OEMs, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Weekly reviews with the Sales Director for reporting.
• Organize training for vendors, distributors, and customers.
• Keep awareness of new product launches and acquire technical knowledge.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant sales experience in a relevant segment/industry.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive individual who thrives on the challenge of acquiring new clients.
• Knowledge in handling low voltage electrical products.
• Familiarity and preference for working with an SME-type structure.
• Required to travel within Malaysia and the region on a requirement basis.
• Confident in conducting presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
• The candidate may be based in Penang or KL.

Job Details:

• Permanent employment.
• Working hours: Mon - Fri (9.00 am - 6.00 pm).
