Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Role Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO), where you'll partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial excellence and strategic decision-making. In This Role You Will

1. Collaborate closely with the CFO to oversee day-to-day financial operations and derive clear analyses of business performance.
2. Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize financial stability.
3. Lead all aspects of finance, including accounting, reporting, planning, analysis, and decision-making support.
4. Drive fundraising efforts and maintain investor relations to fuel organizational growth.
5. Implement and maintain robust accounting systems, internal controls, and operational procedures.
6. Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and bankers to ensure compliance.
7. Direct budget preparation and forecasting to guide strategic initiatives.
8. Evaluate financial and business performance, providing actionable insights to management.
9. Monitor monthly performance against budget, identifying areas for improvement.
10. Manage payables, receivables, and cash balances for optimal financial health.
11. Oversee payroll functions and implement efficient systems and controls.
12. Develop and motivate finance team members to maximize effectiveness.
13. Other ad hoc and support work.

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:

1. Possess a recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA.
2. Bring a minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in accounting and finance.
3. Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and effective communication across all levels.
4. Exhibit strong leadership qualities with a commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
5. Thrive in a dynamic environment, showcasing exceptional organizational skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to excel under pressure while meeting deadlines.
