Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Consolidation:

Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other applicable regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts. Ensure accurate financial models and performance tracking.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Perform financial analysis to support strategic decisions, monitor company performance, and provide recommendations to senior management.

Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure the business remains financially healthy. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Financial Strategy: Work closely with the executive team to drive the company’s financial strategy, including capital structure, funding, and investment strategies.

Audit and Compliance: Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and ensure all compliance requirements are met on time.

Taxation: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring the company’s tax filings are accurate and timely.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the finance department team to enhance their skills, performance, and career development.

Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

A recognised professional qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent).

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior financial management role, with at least 3 years in a CFO or similar leadership position.

In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and taxation laws.

Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, and accounting principles.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Proven ability to manage financial risks and deliver sound financial strategies. Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the optical or retail industry.
