As Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for a number of accounts within the medical area and for identifying opportunities within the accounts and segments, on a local basis positioning Victrex solutions to meet opportunities within the divisions of the partner account and finding, winning, and maintaining revenue generation and pipeline build.
Principal Accountabilities:
For the relevant market, region, and customer accounts, both existing and new, the BDM is accountable for:
- Identifying key stakeholders and decision makers throughout the account organisation, at all levels and across functions, creating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of the account’s business, culture, drivers, strategy, goals, and how they generate revenue and profit.
- Identifying the customers’ wants and needs, both defined and undefined, to determine target opportunities in the short, medium, and long term and working with Marketing to assess the viability of such opportunities.
- Driving the Marketing message at target segments to deliver compelling Victrex solutions to key stakeholders (internally & externally) and decision makers within the customer organisation, presenting the benefits, handling objections, and defining a time-bound path to revenue generation to secure the business.
- Defining and delivering the account plan and pipeline management to deliver impactful solutions to the customer.
- Negotiating and closing contractual arrangements.
- Maintaining an accurate view of customer activity through CRM to aid business decision making and analysis, e.g., accurate account forecast demands.
- Liaising with the OD function to ensure an integrated and proactive approach to the management of all opportunities within the customer's reach.
Experience:
Experience normally associated with successful performance of the role includes:
- In-depth sales/market/R&D knowledge of the Medical market sector, preferably Orthopedic/Pharmaceutical market.
- Multinational Company working experience.
- Preferred experience in cross-industry transformation.
- Preferred working knowledge of utilising business management software, like CRM, PowerBI, and account forecasting methods and tools.
- Understanding of polymer technology.
