Purchasing Executive

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Executive to join the team at GOODWILL ENTERTAINMENT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Purchasing Executive, the successful candidate will manage procurement activities, liaise with international suppliers, and ensure timely and cost-effective purchases for the company. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for office management and a keen eye for detail.

What you'll be doing

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers from Malaysia, Singapore, China, and other regions.
• Conduct research to ensure the best quality and cost-effectiveness of products and services.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to meet the company’s procurement requirements.
• Handle purchasing processes on platforms such as Taobao, Alibaba, or similar.
• Ensure all purchases comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Monitor the delivery process to ensure timely receipt of goods.
• Resolve any issues related to shipment delays or quality discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, including cost analyses.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the F&B or retail industries.
• Experience with Chinese e-commerce platforms like Taobao is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with international suppliers.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) is a bonus.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools is desirable.
