Planning Engineer

Role Description:

Responsible for handling all aspects of planned activities, generating service requests, reviewing job costs, planning and managing field hours, and reviewing the performance of service jobs.

Key Tasks:

1. Handle planned activities, e.g. planned repairs, retrofits, and on-call activities.
2. Define material requirements for each service request, both planned and on-call.
3. Arrange sub-contracted services and equipment, including rentals.
4. Schedule and dispatch field operatives.
5. Manage and generate service requests (SR) and work packages (WP) and assign to field operatives.
6. Trigger the need for requisition/purchase in Siebel.
7. Verify that Siebel PO request is submitted to SAP without errors.
8. Review job costs such as labor, expense, and materials.
9. Review charge lines of completed work before sending to invoice.
10. Maintain the service schedule for all sold work.
11. Plan/assign/manage field labor hours to maximize profitability and productivity (direct labor average) at or above budgeted minimums without compromising safety or quality.
12. Maintain open orders on the dispatch board.
13. Assist technicians with identification of required repair parts.
14. Procure required materials, parts, equipment, and subcontract labour for work assignments.
15. Process Purchase Requests through the system using established guidelines.
16. Review performance of service jobs to ensure quotations accurately project labor hours, travel costs, rental costs, procured items, etc.
17. Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of company equipment and assets to ensure they are in proper condition and good working order.
18. Responsible for all miscellaneous activities within the branch such as shipping/receiving, shop cleanliness, walk-ins for parts, equipment/building maintenance, and answering phones.
19. To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts, Regulations, and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
20. Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority.
21. To serve the Company faithfully and diligently, performing your duties as required by the Company and using your best endeavors to promote the Company's interests.
22. Not to undertake any paid activities not provided for in this Contract.
23. Not to compete directly or indirectly with the Company.
24. To protect the confidentiality of all information in your position relating to the business or products of Konecranes Group, and to surrender all documents, materials, and equipment relating to the assignment when the employment ends.
25. Any other duties and assignments from the Superior as required.

Key Job Requirements

Qualification/Education:

Degree III or Vocational School in Engineering. Have 1 to 2 years' experience in the same field preferable. Fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome.

Skills & Knowledge:

Have experience in Siebel system will be an advantage. Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel). Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards.

Behavioural Competencies:

Able to work under pressure. Willing to work outside working hours and weekend (only if needed).
