Job description

Software Developer & IT Support Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relational databases, particularly using Microsoft SQL Server and SQLite.
  • Develop and optimize POS systems, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Create and maintain REST APIs to enable seamless system integration.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with industry best practices.
  • Regularly update website content, structure, and minor functionalities as needed.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and speed.

IT Support Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT incidents and service requests via chat and email.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide 1st level support for the systems, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve system issues.
  • Perform regular system checks and maintenance to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Document resolutions and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
  • Execute other IT-related tasks as required by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with software development or POS systems development or IT support is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite).
  • Solid understanding of REST API design, database architecture, and system optimization.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-centric approach to IT support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in POS system implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT support tools and remote troubleshooting methods.
  • Experience with website management and content updates.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware and networking basics.
