Position: Business Communications and Sustainability Manager
Level: Mid Management Level
Function: Corporate & Regulatory Affairs
Salary Range: Base salary + excellent benefits + market leading bonus
Location: Damansara City, KL

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for developing and leading company’s external and internal communications strategy and plans, as well as the company’s sustainability framework and its activities.

Reports to: Senior Engagement Manager
Geographic Scope: Direct Reporting Business Units

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  1. Developing, managing, and completing the organisation’s external and internal communications, and public relations strategy and plans, including content creation and social media strategy to ensure clear, effective communication with external collaborators and alignment with organisational objectives and priorities.
  2. Serve as the lead writer, editor and primary contact for communications and sustainability content review and approvals; Lead all aspects of the maintenance and regular updating of the organisation’s website.
  3. Lead and coordinate execution of all crisis communications for the Company; Handle the monitoring of media news related to the company, and advise appropriate course of action in consultation with internal partners.
  4. Advise the leadership team and other partners on strategies and key messages for responding to external inquiries from media, financial analysts, etc., and interview requests.
  5. Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external media and other relevant partners and represent the Company in communications initiatives at industry forums.
  6. Lead and coordinate publication of internal communications, such as employee portal and act as communications liaison with custodian for Global Internal Communications portal (Interact).
  7. Assume advisory role for internal projects on communications matters to ensure desired project objectives are achieved by providing essential communications advice and execution of communications related activities; Handle and advise on corporate brand usage, ensuring compliance to corporate brand guideline.
  8. Lead and own the Company’s Sustainability framework and its activities related to ESG.
  9. Phemonenal experience in owning the production of the corporate annual report (AGM), analyst briefing, etc.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  1. Possess strong leadership capabilities in leading agencies to deliver quality work within agreed timelines.
  2. Strong stakeholder management skill in building engagement with key collaborators in Media, Government agencies, and other relevant stakeholder organizations.
  3. Ability to identify and optimize the use of resources in the execution of agreed plans as well as to ensure the deliverables are implemented on time.
  4. Minimum 8 years of experience in public affairs, corporate communication, or any relevant fields.
  5. Hands-on experience dealing with corporate annual report (AGM) is essential.
