Job description

Quality Manager

Develop and improve quality procedures and systems; monitor the quality control activities with the objective of achieving business development requirements within the QS and global policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Budgeting - 10%
    Develop and implement department budget and plan, allocate department targets to subordinates, monitor their performance, and the achievement of the budget in order to achieve targeted department performance.
  2. Policies and Procedures - 15%
    Localize and oversee the implementation of global quality policy, procedures, and systems; review QA reports within the entire factory to ensure business procedures align with QS and global standards.
  3. People Management and Development - 20%
    Allocate and balance work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback; mentor, develop, and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues to achieve targeted department performance and retain key talent.
  4. Quality System - 15%
    Set up and monitor the implementation of quality policies, including internal audit policy; oversee effectiveness of quality system; visit key accounts; provide feedback on quality-related best practices to the global quality team; coordinate audits from key customers and third parties to meet business development requirements and align with global quality policy.
  5. Quality Engineering - 15%
    Visit key suppliers and drive their quality performance improvement; resolve key customer complaints; review factory quality performance, and set up process quality improvement plans and monitor implementation to improve factory and supplier quality performance.
  6. Quality Control - 15%
    Supervise the implementation of quality control for incoming/in-process/final productions; initiate internal quality audits; provide professional advice and coordinate key quality issues with related departments to ensure product quality meets customer/regulatory requirements.
  7. Testing - 10%
    Review current testing capability situation; develop testing capability improvement plans to meet business development requirements.

Skills and Education:

  1. Education, Technical Qualification & Experience:
    Bachelor's degree with an engineering and technology major background; 12 years of quality working experience in MNC, including 5 years of managerial experience.
  2. Personal Attributes & Competencies:
    Interpersonal skills, communication skills, accountability, integrity, leadership, coordination, team building, advanced English.
