Critical Facilities Manager

Our client, a global MNC company, is looking to hire a Facilities Manager in Johor, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Data Centre operations team, overseeing all facilities management, including all disciplines involved.
• Answer customer questions from technical and operational perspectives.
• Manage daily operations, including incident response management, maintenance schedules, and capacity planning together with the onsite and remote client’s operational team.
• Ensure that clients' SLAs and KPIs are met in all aspects.
• Oversee and supervise small expansion and migration projects in the Data Centre.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Data Centre management practices and compliance protocols that ensure high reliability and efficiency to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and ensure a high level of cyber, physical, and logical security requirements are met.
• Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring that all service agreements and expectations are met or exceeded.
• Lead disaster recovery efforts and Data Centre scalability initiatives.
• Develop and control the operational budget, including forecasts and cost optimizations.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies for operational procedures and disaster response tactics.
• Ensure client’s sustainability targets are met, and Data Centre, ISO, and other certificates are obtained and sustained.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Experience and knowledge of MEP equipment such as UPS, generators, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High attention to detail to identify risks and drive to resolve them.
