Sales & Product Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Sales & Product Development Executive to join our team at EAST WEST SEED (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. based in Sabah with a local head office in Shah Alam, Selangor. This position will play a vital role in driving sales and developing new products to support our growing business in the agriculture industry.

What you'll be doing

• Drive the business in the assigned region by developing and maintaining good relationships with customers and key players in the value-chain.
• Achieve committed sales budget targets while maintaining timely collection of payments.
• Collect accurate market information on demands and trends in the assigned region.
• Coordinate and organise marketing and promotional activities in the assigned region.
• Support customers on questions about product specifications and best cultivation practices.
• Work effectively with other team members including admin support staff.
• Prepare and submit reports and presentations by collecting, analysing, and summarising information.
• Communicate readily information and issues that may arise in the workplace.
• Attend industry events and trade shows to showcase our offerings.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 - 2 years of experience in sales and/or agriculture business; fresh graduates from a relevant background are welcome to apply.
• Ability to communicate with all levels in Malay and Mandarin; ability to communicate in English and/or local dialect will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel frequently within and across regions.
• Possess a local driving license.
