This role requires you to deliver responsive programs, create training modules, provide classroom and on-site practical training to the Group's retail employees and support learning initiatives for the HQ and retail employees. The ideal talent shall be experienced in designing customised and group training programs that address specific business needs and have measurable deliverables, specifically in soft skills such as customer service and communications to align with the Group's Learning & Development management training agenda, needs, and action plans in order to achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive the company's Learning & Development training strategy, monitor its implementation and assess its outcomes.
Determine the training needs of the retail employees and develop customised training programs based on their job responsibilities and competencies.
Plan, execute and monitor training activities for front-line and back-end employees.
Deliver responsive programs and content designed to support the needs of the business, promoting efficiency, and increasing productivity in a retail context.
Provide a hands-on proactive approach in all aspects of retail training and lead the Group's conduct with the highest integrity as adhered to by the Group.
Offer employees skills-based, customer-centric coaching and training to support the achievement of specific weekly/monthly/quarterly operating plan targets assigned, performance targets, and high customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on initiatives like onboarding, team building, and employee development programs.
Promote a culture of continuous learning where trainers take accountability for their own development, competence, and performance.
Job Requirements:
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management / Social Sciences / Education or relevant fields. Candidate with equivalent qualification such as professional certification in relevant field will be considered.
At least 5 years working experience in the learning and development / trainer role. Experience in retail sales, and/or retail customer service will be highly preferred.
HRD Corp certified and accredited trainer.
Strong command of English and Malay languages in both written and verbal communication.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to develop training courses and relevant course materials based on training needs / competency gaps.
Ability to execute various learning interventions including on-the-job training, classroom live training and remote / virtual sessions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office includes Excel, Words and Power Point.
Well-organised individual with strong time-management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision.
Willing to travel within the country on a regular basis.
