The Position

Perform the day-to-day activities for AR & Treasury matters according to the highest standards of financial control, compliance and effective practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Account receivable, treasury and inter-company task as per Service level Agreement.
  2. Process all cash application and remittance reconciliation for assigned countries accurately and within specific timescales. Then, prepare regularly the details of unallocated and unidentified receipts for stakeholder further actions.
  3. Prepare and follow up unidentified open items in clearing account when executing daily/monthly bank reconciliation. Also, manage cash pool account reconciliation.
  4. Liaise with stakeholders for preparation and transaction posting of Inter-company non-trade related debit and credit notes.
  5. Preparation of monthly reconciliation, highlight and rectify anomalies encountered.
  6. Generate statement of accounts to the customers.
  7. Track and resolve disputes and route to local affiliates as and when required.
  8. Initiate the dunning process and generate reminders for overdue accounts.
  9. Execute month end, quarter end and year end closing activities for countries assigned.
  10. Prepare preliminary and final Inter-company Account Receivable balances to reconcile against counterparty balances. Ensure timely and accurate deal settlement and posting of treasury related transactions including Inter-company foreign exchange, loan, accrual and actual interest, bank charges, etc.
  11. Credit management – Perform and responsible for credit analysis on customer according to company credit policy and procedures. Also, reviewing credit risk for new and existing customers by carrying out credit assessment and making credit limit recommendations.
  12. Collection management – Ensure customers pay within agreed payment terms, contacting sales team and customers on collection activities if necessary as per company’s debt collection procedure.
  13. Demonstrated good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls with customers. Plus, first point of contact for operational support and issue solving & liaise with customers for balance confirmation and monitoring of daily sales order status.
  14. Handling of AR bad debt allowance and write off management.

Documentation & Controlling

  1. Ensure all work documentation and work processes are updated and meet with Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies and guidelines, local statutory and legal requirements within agreed service timelines.
  2. Perform back up function and other duties, including job rotation to other functional teams as and when required.
  3. Participate in internal and external compliance audit queries.

Transformation/ Continuous Improvement Implementations

  1. Work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
  2. Engage and support the teams in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  3. Proactively identify, recommend and implement solutions in consultation with management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation.
  4. Assist to ensure effective knowledge transfer for sustainable development knowledge and sharing of best practices within the team.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  1. Degree or Diploma in Finance & Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.
  2. Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively in English.
  3. Minimum 5-6 years working experience in Accounts Receivable and Treasury or other accounting functions.
  4. SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems and MS Office tools.
  5. Proficiency in English and Korean language is required with good communication skills as the role will be supporting our counterpart in Korea.
