Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all matters related to compliance, audit, risk, ESG, and integrity within the company.
  • Develop and update policies and frameworks related to compliance, audit, ESG risk, and integrity to meet the company’s system requirements according to standard requirements.
  • Review, analyze, investigate, assess, and provide opinions, views, and recommendations related to the compliance system, audit, and risk management concerning company operations to ensure the company complies with all regulations related to corporate governance.
  • Prepare internal audit planning to obtain approval from the Audit & Finance Committee.
  • Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the annual risk-based compliance to assess the effectiveness of risk reduction and to meet company requirements.
  • Review audit assignments and ensure they are carried out according to the approved audit objectives, scope, plan, budget, schedule, and ensure adequate evidence is obtained to support the audit findings.
  • Responsible for carrying out ad-hoc tasks such as investigations/special review assignments when required or directed by Senior Management.
  • Present Internal Audit Reports to the Audit & Finance Committee, including conducting follow-up reviews on matters previously reported.
  • Responsible for providing guidance to departments and subsidiaries in the preparation and updating of the Risk Register and presenting the department’s and subsidiaries’ Risk Assessment Reports to the Risk Assessment Committee.
  • Responsible for raising awareness among management to practice efficient and good governance.
  • Build relationships with department heads across the organization to understand issues and identify areas for business improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain a quality assurance enhancement program to ensure compliance with best practices based on the IPPF Standards to improve the Internal Audit Department processes.
  • Plan, develop, and implement an integrity and governance framework, including policies and procedures to prevent fraud, corruption, and misconduct based on the “TRUST Principle.”
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential integrity weaknesses.
  • Receive integrity-related complaints and take necessary actions against any misconduct involving integrity and compliance.
  • Implement and coordinate integrity strengthening programs (briefings and workshops) to enhance a culture of good values, ethics, and integrity.
  • Prepare and submit half-yearly company integrity reports to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM).
  • Develop and update ESG-related policies and frameworks and prepare the company’s annual ESG reporting.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Possess a Degree and/or relevant Professional Qualifications (Law/Audit/Risk Management/Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics).
  • Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM)/Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, audit, risk management, ESG, and integrity, or related fields.
  • Able to provide professional opinions, offer advice, and present arguments effectively on any issues.
  • Proficient in writing quality reports.
