PROJECT SALES ENGINEER (Selangor - Balakong)

The Project Sales Engineer will be part of a long-established leading company in Malaysia specializing in quality PVC conduits and PVC trunkings, with over 30 years of experience. The company is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, established in more than 70 countries.
Headcount: 2
Preferably female Chinese candidates. One headcount will focus on Klang Valley, while the other will focus on the Sabah Sarawak market, requiring monthly travel and approximately 18 days spent in that region.
Role Summary
The incumbent is responsible for achieving sales targets by promoting our product lines including Wiring Devices (PL2), Residential Systems (PL3), Building Systems (PL4), and PVC Conduits and Equipment (PL9) to retailers, contractors, and investors.
Role Responsibilities
- Acquire deep product knowledge on all products.
- Understand the profile and buying needs of customers and expand support and businesses by providing professional pre-sales and post-sales services, including technical support.
- Prospect new customers and developers, conducting cold calls and sales visits.
- Promote product lines through solid sales presentations and collaborate with Marketing through events and networking sessions.
- Prepare concept proposals, specifications, quotations, and generate sales turnover according to targets.
- Be a trusted partner and support to customers by providing professional pre-sales and post-sales services, including technical support.
- Develop a clear understanding of all products and provide training (internal and external) when required.
- Carry out product presentations to prospective accounts.
- Manage pricing inquiries, follow-up orders, and delivery schedules.
- Provide sales reports to the Head of Sales.
Role Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, especially in the construction line.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Sales-driven to meet business targets and goals.
- Ability to provide appropriate support for sales and satisfy customer expectations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to converse in English, Malay, and Chinese dialects.
- Possess own transport.
- Willingness to travel as required to Klang Valley or any locations in Peninsular Malaysia.
- Candidates fluent in both Mandarin and English are preferred for interaction with Mandarin-speaking customers.
Salary: Budget salary including allowance excluding commission: Not more than RM7,000.
